Reassembled

Finding the church in unlikely places.

A group of enterprising students once disassembled their professor’s car, reassembling it in the lobby of the college president’s office. To ensure this moment was remembered, they placed a campus statue in the driver’s seat.

In his letter to the Philippians, the Apostle Paul finds himself in a prison cell, separated from friends and the wider world. But the letter he pens is often called “the epistle of joy”, because Paul found that God was working in, through and around his prison walls.

In a world of self-care and self-promotion – we sometimes miss a deeper joy: Like those students who reassembled a car in the lobby, Jesus Christ is building His church in unlikely places. Today, may you know the joy of seeing God assemble His community around you.
