Remember

Powerful prayer.

I once shared lunch with a world-famous Christian leader. When the food arrived, I asked him to pray. We leaned in, and I expected something profound…but he simply said, “thank you God, amen.”

You know, sometimes the shortest prayers ARE the most powerful. Here is one that Scripture gives us:  “Remember me, O God.” King David prayed it this way in Psalm 25, and the thief on the cross prayed with his last breath, “Jesus, when you enter your kingdom, remember me.”

You see, God remembers who He made you to be – not what others think or what you have made yourself. God sees you as full of promise, fit for today’s opportunity, a vessel that carries what is priceless.

So pause today and try this short prayer: “Remember me, O God.” He does, and He will.
