Garden

God’s promise to restore paradise.

It’s been said that every song on the radio is a cry for one thing: to get back to the Garden of Paradise.

Picture Eden for a moment: a place of perfect harmony – here God, people, animals, even the trees danced together. A cool mist in the heat, and a daily walk with God Himself. It’s what every song and every soul longs for.

And it’s why, when Jesus burst from the tomb that first Easter morning, Mary thought he was the gardener! Because Easter is God’s breathtaking promise to restore paradise to you through His crucified and risen Son.

So join us at First Protestant Church this Easter, April 5th, at 8am, 9.30, 11 – with a butterfly release at 10:30am. First Protestant is the spiritual home at the heart of the city, and we’re saving a seat for you.

More on the topic:

  • Jesus is our only hope to get back to the garden of Eden.
  • According to Genesis 3, Adam & Eve sinned, were clothed by God, and then pushed out of the Garden eastward – see image
  • The ‘penitent thief’, named “Dysmas” (which means “west), who was on the cross next to Jesus, is promised entry back into Paradise – through the western side!  This is the “the back door” to the Garden – see sermon
  • God the Gardener
