Words

Finding your voice

In Psalm 29, we learn that God does astounding things with words: he breaks trees, he shakes kingdoms, he splits the earth, he causes nature to blossom and bloom.

And here’s the wonder: the God who thunders also listens. He not only wants to be heard—He wants every creature to have a voice, even the overlooked and underestimated ones.

In 1939, King George VI of Britain struggled to speak publicly due to his stammer. Through the dedicated support of a speech therapist and coach, he slowly found his voice, and his radio addresses inspired England during the dark hours of World War II. Winston Churchill famously said, “The King’s voice was our weapon of resistance.”

Who around you needs to find their voice? A quiet co-worker, a lonely neighbor, a bashful child. We’ll never know how their words will change the world until we listen.
