Happy Work

Did you know that one of our newest holidays on Oct 18^th, is “national bestie at work day”? I love it, because we spend a third of our lives at work – and recent studies show, despite their hustle, young adults find less job satisfaction than previous generations. What’s up with that?

Long ago, the book of Ecclesiastes said the root of all toxic work scenarios is anti-friendship, what the bible calls envy – which isolates and dishonors people in their work.

But, friendship binds people together with appreciation and honor, creating healthy, productive projects. As the old sage says: “two are better than one,” and “a chord of three strands gets the job done”.  

So like Christ who showed up as our friend from heaven, bring to your workplace today the warmth and dignity of friendship.
